# Influence Points

Influence Points ("IP") is an off-chain currency that powers gas-free activities across the Fief Protocol platform and within the Fiefverse. Users can acquire IP by staking FIEF, completing quests, playing within the Fiefverse, participating in Fief dapps, or through direct purchase in the Fief Shop.

IP can be used for a variety of activities, including purchasing items in the Fief Shop, unlocking Loot Farms for your metaverse assets, accessing in-world or in-game experiences in the Fiefverse, and much more.

IP is attached to your wallet and is non-transferable. All spent IP is burned upon use.
